USES AND APPLICATIONS:

New well construction inspection.
The actual as-built construction and quality of the new deepwell is readily seen.

Periodic inspection.
Determines existing well conditions which is essential in deepwell preventive maintenance. Problems in the operation of a deepwell is usually found underground– the deepwell structure in the subsurface that is usually out of sight from an ordinary observer. The UTVI is useful in determining the as-built design and current condition of a deepwell and its water-intake structures (well screens or slotted casings) by capturing in video the whole length of the deepwell. Appropriate improvement/rehabilitation in the deepwell can be made if its underground structural conditions are known. UTVI should be done every two years for well preventive maintenance.

After-well-rehabilitation inspection.
Determines success and quality of well rehabilitation works.
